The EUonQoL - kit
The EUonQoL-Kit is a set of questionnaires, specifically designed for the self-assessment of quality of life at different disease phases, characterized by innovative features:
- Co-designed with patients and stakeholders
- Tailored to patients’ health condition
- Available in several European languages
- Digitally administered
The EUonQoL-Kit is a new Patient-Reported Outcome Measure (PROM) for the selfassessment of quality of life, developed from the preferences and priorities of cancer patients and survivors.
A multidisciplinary researcher panel with extensive experience in the development of self-reported QoL measures will identify gaps and establish all QoL dimensions that are relevant from the perspectives of patients, clinicians, and society.
The EUonQoL-Kit will be validated in a pilot survey using digital data collected from a wide European sample of patients at different stages of the cancer care continuum.
The EUonQoL-Kit will be applicable in future periodic surveys to evaluate the impact of policy interventions.
What are PROMs?
Patient-Reported Outcome Measures are self-reporting questionnaires, wich capture patients’ perspective on their own health in terms of physical symptoms, functional status, emotional wellbeing, and role functioning, in a word their quality of life associated with their disease or treatments.
PROMs are direcly reported by patients, without interpretation by a clinician or anyone else.
