Cookie Policy

Websites may use what are known as "cookies". Cookies allow you to personalise your experience on the sites, tell the owner which parts of the sites you visit and allow to analyse user behaviour in order to improve communications and products.

What are cookies?

Cookies are generally strings of text that websites (so-called publishers or "first parties") visited by you or different websites or web servers (so-called "third parties") place and store on a device that you are using. Generally, cookies are stored directly on the browser used for browsing. The same website that sent them can subsequently read and record cookies on the same device in order to obtain various types of information.

How many types of cookies are there?

According to the Italian Data Protection Authority's (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) guidelines for the protection of personal data - Linee guida cookie e altri strumenti di tracciamento del 10 giugno 2021 (hereinafter the Guidelines) - there are two basic macro-categories, with different characteristics: technical cookies and profiling cookies, both of which are managed independently or by "third parties" (belong to a domain different from the one shown in the address bar, yet can still potentially be correlated to the content of the main web page, allowing the tracking of user visits across multiple websites).

technical cookies: used only to "carry out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communication network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the contracting party or user to provide such service" (see art. 122, paragraph 1 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003);
profiling cookies: used to trace specific actions or recurring behavioural patterns in the use of the functions offered (patterns) back to specific, identified or identifiable subjects, in order to group the various profiles within homogeneous clusters of different sizes, so that the data controller can, among other things, also modulate the provision of the service in an increasingly personalised manner beyond what is strictly necessary for the provision of the service, as well as send targeted advertising messages, i.e. in line with the preferences expressed by the user when surfing the web.

What cookies does this site use?

In EUonQoL website, we use a first-party technical cookie to manage cookie preferences (referring to the choices made by users regarding the use of cookies on a website, including options to accept, reject, or customize them) and a third party-cookie provided by Google ReCAPTCHA (https://www.google.com/intl/it/policies/privacy/), used for the prevention of forms by spambot or automated scripts. It allows us to make sure that the functionality is in use by a person and not by a bot.

Google ReCAPTCHA cookie will be installed after you give your consent only.

In any case, no personal data is stored on our servers.
